In 1994 economist Nikos Asimomytis fulfilled his desire and returned to his birthplace, Mykonos. He took over the family estate as well as an abandoned vineyard rented from the monastery of Panagia Tourliani (36 stremmas in total) and vinifies local varieties (Mandilaria & Agiannitis) Paraportiano takes its name from the oldest church of the island. Aromas of red fruits, spices and earthy notes. Full-bodied, with noticeable tannins and long lasting aftertaste. A rustic red wine from xeric, wind-battered vines.
