I remember being young and going to my Grandfather’s shop in Milan.
I did not know at the time how popular he was, yet he was.
Working behind his table he was cutting the most beautiful shirts that Milan ever saw.
Our afternoon play was to choose the fabric and the tie that will go with it. Not easy.
We could not be too classic, neither too eccentric, it was a mix of taste and modernity, something very subtle, unexplainable unless you were there with him, learning and inventing.
That taste never left me. I am walking in the streets, enter a shop, browse on line, an I will know what’s right despite the many years that has gone by.
Thank you nonno Ferruccio.
